The Old Rectory is no ordinary self catering holiday cottage. Beautifully located in Northumberland National Park, just
14 miles from Alnwick, this private country house provides an exceptional setting for a relaxing family gathering or
celebration of any special occasion. Experience living in a lovely 18th century listed Rectory and enjoy spacious
accommodation which has been restored to an excellent standard.

Ground Floor
- Entrance Boot Hall.
- Central Hall with stone-flagged floor, impressive hand-carved grand staircase and arches, and
wireless Internet broadband.
- Drawing Room (7.90m / 26'4" x 4.45m / 14'10") with two marble fireplaces (one operational), Wade English hand-made
leather settee and armchairs, and television.
- King Bedroom (5.00m / 16'8" x 4.50m / 15') with en-suite shower and wc.
- Family Lounge (6.0m / 20' x 4.50m / 15') with marble fireplace (operational), Wade hand-made Victorian settee and
armchair, large chest full of Lego, 42" wall-mounted directional plasma television with DVD, wide selection of DVDs,
Play Station 3, radio / CD, IPod player / phone charger, and doors to garden.
- Dining Kitchen (10.2m / 34' x 5.00m / 16'8") with Newcastle Furniture Company hand-painted kitchen with granite
worktops, stone-flagged floor, four-oven oil-fired Aga (please note there is no conventional cooker), twin gas hob,
American fridge freezer and Meile fridge, dining table and chairs for eight, and walk in pantry (any home delivery
shopping will be put away for you prior to arrival). The kitchen is lavishly equipped with excellent quality appliances,
including Kitchenaid liquidiser and mixer, Magimix juicer, bread machine, slow cooker, pasta machine, steamer, Gelato
Ice-cream maker, fondue sets, sandwich and waffle makers, and a good selection of recipe books. You can even create
your own individual pizzas using an Italian pizza peel to cook them in the Aga.
First Floor
- King Bedroom West with en-suite wet jet room and wc.
- King Bedroom South with en-suite wet jet room and wc.
- King / Twin Bedroom with choice of beds.
- Double Bedroom.
- All bedrooms have mattresses of an excellent standard, white towelling dressing gown and slippers for each adult,
100% Egyptian cotton white bed linen, and abundant luxury white cotton bath sheets / hand towels.
- Victorian Bathroom with traditional fireplace (operational) and cushioned window seat.
Outdoors
- Private one-acre walled lawn to front.
- Outdoor garden furniture comprises a teak table and chairs and teak benches.
Other Information
- On arrival, we provide fresh flowers and a welcome pack of basic necessities.
- Special occasion and celebration hampers can be provided by prior arrangement, as can your own personal chef or
an additional maid service, and remember that by including adjacent properties you can readily accommodate additional
guests.
- For the comfort of all of our guests, we do not permit dogs or smoking and only booked guests are permitted in the
property and grounds.
